Abs Workout For Women

Abs Workout for Women That Works for You!

A way to get slimmer and firmer abs is the most sought after exercise method for men and women alike. But finding an abs workout for women – one that’s designed specifically for a woman’s physiology – can be tricky. There are hundreds abdominal exercises that can get you six pack abs, but they are not all created equal.

Abs Workout For WomenWomen who are looking for routines to give them sexy six pack abs often become discouraged at the time and tedium it takes to achieve them. Each different abs workout for women has a different impact on your body and varying time and cost commitments. It can be tough to find one that fits your lifestyle, personality and budget.

Let’s look at some common examples of an abs workout for women:

  1. Crunches. These abdominal exercises target the upper abs and do little for the lower abs and that stubborn abdominal pooch. So you can see right off the bat, while a common exercise, crunches are not a targeted abs workout for women. Crunches are high impact and can cause pain in the neck and back. There is no cardio component, so while they do build muscle, crunches aren’t that great for burning fat. Additionally, you need to do a very high number of reps for weeks and weeks before you might see any results.
  2. Gym Memberships. There are many gyms that cater to women only, so finding an abs workout for women here is no problem at all. Good gyms have knowledgeable personal trainers or fitness staff that can help you get fit. The downsides for many women are the cost, the time and the atmosphere. Gym memberships are expensive and you need an hour per visit (not including time going there and back) to make it work the money. The atmosphere can be intimidating as well.
  3. Home Fitness Videos. These videos are everywhere. Many are marketed directly as an abs workout for women. Unfortunately, most of them are basically cardio and floor exercises (like those miserable crunches). Reviews and feedback from many women have shown that workout DVDs tend to get used for a couple weeks before users get bored with them or no longer have the time to use them regularly. Exercise videos usually mean you need to take 45 minutes to an hour to exercise. Many busy women simply don’t have that kind of time.
  4. Home Fitness Equipment. Exercise machines designed for home use are the best abs workout for women we have found. They bring the targeted training of the gym into your home for a reasonable price. DVDs often come with the machines to instruct users on their proper use and illustrate various routines. The best part, though, is the time involved in working on those six pack abs is much lower than any of the three previous techniques.

Finding the right abdominal exercise machine can provide you with the best targeted abs workout for women. If you are seeking to burn fat and get a toned and healthy core, these devices are hands down the obvious choice.

the gym is a meatmarket… its likea catch 22 – you want to go to get good looking, but you have to be good looking to fit in there. im perfectly happy diong my workouts at home without all of these airheads judging me!

I agree about the meatmarket atmosphere (thats why i don’t go), but i don’t think its fair to label them all airheads.
